The 1794-ACN15 is a Flex I/O communication adapter. This module supports the ControlNet communication protocol and enables ControlNet network connectivity. This module is part of the 1794 Flex IO product family. It has one (1) ControlNet port, supports a communication rate of 5 Mbps, and supports up to eight (8) Flex I/O modules.
The 1794-ACN15 comes with a ControlNet port that uses Belden RG-6/U. The module not only supports ControlNet communication, but also converts input power from the Flex I/O power supply into backplane power, which is consumed by adjacent Flex I/O modules, enabling them to operate according to their designed functions.

Its surge current is 23 amps for 2 milliseconds, with a maximum current consumption of 450 mA and 330 mA at 24 volts DC. The 1794-ACN15 is mounted on the grounding case for proper grounding via a DIN rail, which allows users to use galvanized chromate steel DIN rails with an open design. It is certified as a Euro Zone 2 and North American Hazardous Place with a protection level of IP20, which prevents injury to the user and damage to the machine, and should be installed in a housing suitable for the specific environment. The rated temperature of the device is between -25 and 55 degrees Celsius, and the length of its power cord must not exceed 32.8 feet (10 meters).
