活塞型
使氣體在可變?nèi)莘e中膨脹，輸出外功制冷的膨脹機(jī)(通常由電動(dòng)機(jī)制動(dòng)吸收外功)。這種膨脹機(jī)分立式和臥式兩種。采用較多的是立式結(jié)構(gòu)，曲軸、連桿、十字頭、活塞、進(jìn)氣和排氣閥等是運(yùn)動(dòng)件，分別裝在機(jī)身、氣缸和中間座中，其作用近似于往復(fù)活塞壓縮機(jī)，但其進(jìn)、排氣閥系借進(jìn)、排氣凸輪定時(shí)啟閉。

以氣體脹時(shí)速度能的變化來傳遞能量的膨脹機(jī)。這種膨脹機(jī)有單級和雙級、立式和臥式、沖動(dòng)式和反動(dòng)式之分。一般采用單級向心徑流反動(dòng)式，傳出的外功由發(fā)電機(jī)、鼓風(fēng)機(jī)或油制動(dòng)器所吸收它近似于單級離心壓縮機(jī)，但具有調(diào)節(jié)進(jìn)氣量用的(可調(diào)葉片)導(dǎo)流器。低速油承用油強(qiáng)制潤滑，高速的采用氣體軸承。

Piston type
An expander that causes gas to expand in a variable volume to output external work for cooling (usually absorbed by motor braking). The expansion machine is divided into vertical and horizontal two kinds. The most used is vertical structure, crankshaft, connecting rod, cross head, piston, intake and exhaust valves are moving parts, respectively installed in the body, cylinder and middle seat, its role is similar to reciprocating piston compressor, but its inlet and exhaust valves are timed to open and close by the inlet and exhaust CAM.

An expander that transmits energy through changes in velocity energy during gas expansion. The expander is divided into single stage and double stage, vertical and horizontal, impulse and reaction type. Generally, single-stage radial flow reaction type is used, and the outgoing external work is absorbed by the generator, blower or oil brake. It is similar to a single-stage centrifugal compressor, but has a (adjustable blade) deflector for regulating the intake volume. Low speed oil bearing oil forced lubrication, high speed gas bearing.
