The 330930-065-01-05 3300 NSv extension cable is designed to connect the 3300 NSv proximity probe to the near end sensor (integrated in the 990 vibration transmitter). These cables are available in lengths of 4.0, 4.5, 6.0 and 6.5 meters and include a variety of connector options.
When determining cable length, it is important that the extended cable length equals the Proximitor sensor length when added to the probe length.
The 3300 XL NS sensor system is primarily used in areas where countersunk, side-view or rear-view restrictions restrict the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL5 and 8 mm sensor systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring the radial vibration of axes less than 51 mm (2 in) or the axial position of planar targets less than 15 m (0.6 in). It is mainly used in the following applications of fluid film bearing machines where small shafts or reduced side views are present:
Radial vibration and radial position measurement
Axial (thrust) position measurement
Tachometer and zero speed measurement

Phase reference (Keyphasor) signal. The 3300 XL NSV sensor system design allows it to replace the 3300 RAM sensor system and the 3000 Series or 7000 Series 190 sensor system. When upgrading from a 3300 RAM system to a 3300 XL NSv system, you can use the existing probe, extension cable, and monitoring system with 3300 XL NSv Proximitor sensor. When upgrading from a 3000 series or 7000 series sensor system, the probe, extension cable, and presensor must be replaced with an NSV assembly.
The 3300 XLNSv sensor system has an average scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mi), which is the most common output for eddy current sensors. Its enhanced side view and small target features give it a shorter linear range than the BentlvNevada 3300 X-series 5 and 8 mm sensor systems. The 1.5 mm (60 mil) linear range exceeds the linear range of the 3000 Series 190 sensor system.
