The 3500/22M 288055-01 Communication gateway has a wide range of communication capabilities to integrate all framework monitoring data and status with process control and other automation systems via Ethernet TCP/IP and serial communication protocols. It also supports Ethernet communication with the 3500 framework configuration software and data acquisition software. Supported protocols include: Modicon Modbus?(via serial communication), Modbus/TCP(another form of serial Modbus for TCP/IP Ethernet communication)
Some Bentley protocols (communicating with 3500 framework configuration and data acquisition packages) 3500/92 connect to 10BASE-T star topology Ethernet via RJ45.
The 3500/92 has the same communication interface, communication protocol and other features as the 3500/90, but the 3500/92 has the configurable Modbus register function, which can provide the same function as the initial value register.
