The Bentley 3500/42M monitor works by processing signals from displacement, speed and acceleration sensors to perform a variety of vibration and displacement measurements. It compares these processed signals with user-programmed alarm setting points and triggers an alarm or takes other action when a preset threshold is reached. Each channel can be programmed with 3500 frame configuration software to monitor and report radial vibration, thrust position, REBAM, acceleration, expansion difference, eccentricity, speed, and other parameters.
