The PowerPacT P-Frame automatic switch is a disconnect device that can be used to open and close circuits under normal operating conditions. The automatic switch is similar in construction, uses the same accessories, and offers the same connection possibilities as the P-Frame circuit breaker version. These switches have factory-set non-adjustable jump points that are calibrated to protect the mold switch. The automatic switch can turn on and off its rated current. In case of overload or short circuit, it must be protected by upstream equipment. PowerPacT P-Frame switches are available in unit-mounted, I-Line, plug-in or pull-out versions. The switch is provided with wiring strips on both the line side and the load side. The PowerPacT P 800A, 3-pole automatic switch has a short-circuit withstand current rating of 100kA at 480VAC. PowerPacT P automatic switches comply with UL and CSA standards.
