The 8C-PAINA1 C300 controller provides robust control for distributed control systems (DCS). Field-verified deterministic control execution environment (CEE) for a node. The core software. CEE software provides a superior control execution and scheduling environment. The policies that Control each control node are intuitive engineering tools configured and loaded through a common Control Builder. In addition to standard and robust pre-built function blocks and algorithm libraries, the C300 controller also supports Custom algorithm blocks (cab). A custom algorithm block is a standard function block distributed with Control Builder in purpose and structure. Figure 1 below depicts the IOTA components.

All Series 8 components are innovatively designed to support enhanced thermal management. This unique appearance significantly reduces the overall size of the equivalent function. Unique features of Series 8 I/O include:
?I/O modules and field terminals are combined in the same area. I/O modules are inserted into IOTA to eliminate the need for a separate chassis to house the electronic components
? Two layers of “detachable” terminals for mounting field wiring into the housing, making device installation easier

? Provide field power via IOTA, eliminating the need for additional power to power field equipment and associated process wiring
Redundancy is done directly on IOTA without any external cables or redundant controls by simply adding a second IOM to IOTA
? For IOM and IOTA, options are available for coated (module number starts with 8C) and uncoated (module number starts with 8C). Conformal coating materials are used in electronic circuits to protect against moisture, dust, chemicals and extreme temperatures. IOM and IOTA coatings are recommended when electronic products must withstand harsh environments and additional protection is necessary.
