The module can be used with the SCXI-1302 terminal block for signal disconnection. The SCXI-1180 can be operated with PC, AT and MC data acquisition boards and SCXI modules, and comes with NI-DAQ software (DOS/Windows/LabWindows). This custom circuit module can also be used with the NB Series data acquisition board and SCXI module, and comes with LabVIEW or NI-DAQ software for Macintosh.
The SCXI 1180 module is designed specifically for NI SCXI products. The module extends signal lines to signals that do not need to be adjusted from the back to the front of the SCXI chassis. The NI SCXI-1180 occupies only one slot in the SCXI system and easily connects to the user’s SCXI cable attachment. In addition, the custom circuit module can be used to direct I/O signals from a single DAQ instrument to the front end of a user’s SCXI system for ease of use. The module can also be used as a Daisy chain expander with a SCXI-1340, SCXI-1341, or SCXI-1342 cable assembly. Through these combinations, the user can access the signals on the cable between the module and the plug-in board, especially the signals not used by the module. The public outlet connections of the SCXI-1340, SCXI-1341, SCXI-1342, SCXI-1344, or SCXI-1351 can be connected to the rear connectors in adjacent slots. An example of this is when the analog input line of the board is connected to the module, and the user can access the analog output of the digital I/O line of the MIO board.
