The Compact FieldPoint 8-channel current analog output module – CFP-AO-200 includes open line detection, sensor fault diagnosis and short circuit protection in case of wiring errors. Each channel is configured independently, and all modules have an instantaneous separation between the output channel and the backplane. To simplify installation and setup, the cFP-AO-200 uses HotPnP (Plug and play) operation and automatically detects and recognizes configuration software.

The National Instruments CFP-AO-200 device is a versatile analog output module for Compact FieldPoint that can be used to control valves, meters and other industrial actuators.
With the CFP-AO-200 module, you can connect directly to an industrial actuator or the unit under test and gain high-precision control. I/O modules calibrate and expand engineering units based on sensor signals and perform self-diagnostics to detect module or wiring problems, such as open current loops.
The CFP-AO-200 includes eight 0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA analog output channels, generated by a 12-bit DAC. Each output channel has a monitoring circuit and LED indicator to detect the open current loop. The CFP-AO-200 requires an external power supply of 5 to 24 VDC.
