The PXIe-4143 (Part number: 782431-01) Source Measurement Unit (SMU) contains a common channel that provides current or voltage with a 16-bit setpoint and estimated resolution. Users can utilize this output (which provides up to 6 V and 1 A) as a complementary power supply for the SMU channel. The module significantly reduces complexity, space, and cost for applications such as transistor characterization that require a stable current or voltage while scanning another current or voltage. For parallel test applications, users can use 17 NI PXIe-4143 modules in a single PXI frame, 17 SMU channels and 17 programmable power channels in 19-inch and 4U space.
The two channels of the PXIe 4143 SMU can be used as a constant voltage source or a steady state current source, with a movable consistency limit for any mode. In addition, users can enable remote sensing on the SMU channel to enhance the accuracy of the output/voltage estimation of the device under test, enabling high-precision applications.
